This has been a really crazy week for me so far. I have two weddings that my husband and I are both in this week. And of course, with weddings its not just a wedding, its the showers, the rehearsal dinner, getting fitted for your dress/tux, etc. One of the weddings is on Thursday during the day, and that one is for my husband’s parents and then the other one is on Saturday night for Tom and I’s best friends. Also, a couple who are two of our best friends is having their first baby boy on Thursday. Don’t get me wrong, I love all of the excitement, but its just really exhausting having to run around doing all the work for these events. I feel blessed to be able to be involved in it all though. Right now I’m at Starbucks taking a break from it all and listening to some Meese.
We a got a Gurkha cigar for our friend who’s wife is having the baby. The baby is his first, and long awaited, son so we figured that we should get him something to commemorate the occasion. They are naming him Jackson, which I think is a sweet name. I can’t wait to meet him! We have to go to my husband’s parents wedding in the morning, and then lunch with them to celebrate in the afternoon. They got a divorce a couple years ago, but are getting married again so its definitely going to be a joyous occasion. We are very happy for them. We got them some of these for wedding gifts since they travel a lot.
Then tomorrow night I have a a pampering party to go to for the wedding that I’m in on Saturday. We are going to drink champagne, do our nails and toe nails, and bond. We are also receiving our wedding jewelry at the party which is gemstone necklace jewelry. I’ve gone to a lot of events for this wedding so far, and they’ve all been really fun. It’s my best friend from high school who is getting married and she’s marrying one of my husband’s best friends. They are such a good couple, and I’m really excited to see them get married. I think that they are really good for each other and that they will challenge one another to grow. Well, I have to go pick up my dress to from the seamstress who is a good friend of mine and did all the work for free! She is the best! Peace.

I had an enjoyable thanksgiving with my family this past weekend. My husband and I usually have to do a lot of traveling on Thanksgiving, and this year was no exception. We woke up around seven a.m. to get our share of the cooking done to bring to my family’s house. Then we got ready and realized that waking up at seven was a mistake and much too early, so we got to just hang out with each other for a while. That was very nice, kind of like the calm before the storm. We talked about what we were thankful for, and then watched a couple of SNL clips on Hulu to help the time pass. It was great because I love hanging out with my husband, no matter what we’re doing.
At twelve we headed down to my parent’s house in Kentucky and had a wonderful Thanksgiving there. It was so nice to have it with my baby niece there. My parents were giving my brother and sister-in-law parenting tips most of the time. We talked about how all of our jobs were going and talking about our Christmas plans. I think we may try to find some of discount broadway tickets and go together as a family to see a show and that can cover our gifts to one another. Although, we may just do it with the girls in our family because none of the boys were very excited about that idea lol. Either way, I’m really looking forward to Christmas with my family this year. We always have a great time together at Christmas. My sister in coming in town, which will be really nice.
Soon after having Thanksgiving at my family’s house, we went to my husband’s family’s house in Ohio to have Thanksgiving there. I’m glad that I like Thanksgiving food so much, or this schedule would be awful for me lol. His mom is a wonderful cook. Instead of bringing food with us to share with them, we brought them one of these. Luckily, they loved it and shared some of the chocolate contents with us. While we were there, they were telling me hilarious stories about my husband’s older brother about how many times he’s gotten physically injured. I always wondered why he was so crazy lol. He’s a great guy, he’s just a little too intense for me sometimes. My husband’s mom was nice enough to share a few of her recipes with me before we left, and I can’t wait to try them. Well, I’m still trying to recover from the cold I got over the weekend, so I’m going to go try to get some rest. Peace.

I survived, but I’m still recovering from my black friday shopping spree with my mom yesterday. I actually woke up this morning with a horrible cold due to waking up so early yesterday and being around so many sick people I guess. It was worth it though because I got a lot of my Christmas shopping done, got great deals, and had a great time with my mom. Usually there are atleast a few rude people that you run into on black friday, but yesterday there were none! It seemed like everyone was in a great mood, which was awesome to be around. Especially when you’re in line with that person for like an hour lol.
I bought some Enigma perfume for my mom, when she wasn’t looking, and a wireless printer for my husband among other things. My mom bought my sister some jane iredale cosmetics that she’s been asking for forever. I was starting to wonder if my mom got the hint from my sister lol. We bought a ton of movies because just about every store we went to was selling them for dirt cheap. Usually I just buy them online for cheap, but the stores’ prices were even cheaper. They’re good movies too, not just old or bad ones.
Now I’m just back at my place trying to rest. Actually, I put up all of our Christmas decorations today, which was really fun. My husband helped, which made it even more fun. I’m watching Return To Me on Hulu and drinking some of this. It helps make my sore throat feel better. Now if I could only manage to not sneeze in it, that would be awesome lol. My husband’s out with some friends at a bachelor party…lucky. It’s going to be really fun. Him and his friends aren’t into strippers or anything like that, so they are just playing ultimate frisbee, going to see a movie, and then going out to eat. I’m definitely thankful for that
Well, I just ordered some dinner and am going to get back to watching my movie. It’s a good one! Peace.

My family and I have really enjoyed ourselves in Arizona over the past few days. We have gotten so many great opportunities while we’ve been out here. My sister has been a fabulous host to us. We’ve been staying in her new home and its a beautiful house. The movie premiere was incredible! We all got dress to the nines and watched the greatest movie ever. We got to wear this and I did my mom and sister’s hair and make-up. When we got there, we got lots of free stuff. We really loved the whole experience.
New Moon is a really, really good movie. I loved the Twilight movie, but New Moon was even better. I liked the way Rob Pattinson played Edward in this movie much more than how he played him in Twilight. I also thought that Taylor Lautner did an outstanding job as Jacob. He definitely stole the show. He not only looks good, but becomes exactly how I imagined Jacob when I read the books. Can you believe that it has made 80 million dollars in one day?! That is insane. It is shattering records. I’m really happy for Stephenie Meyer and everyone involved in the movie. You can see the red carpet premiere here.
Arizona is such a beautiful place to live. I’ve been here once before, and when I came I expected everyone to be wearing straw cowboy hats, but instead everyone wears bearpaw boots. They wear jeans and sweaters like the heat doesn’t bother them, but it definitely bothers me. The heat isn’t as bad though, because its not humid out here at all. Tonight is our last night here, and our plane leaves tomorrow morning. As fun as it has been out here, I’m eager to get home and be with my husband. I miss him so much. He’s coming to pick me up at the airport, so I’m excited. I’m going to get back to helping my sister hang up some art work in her house. Peace.

I actually have two younger brother-in-laws, and one of them is living with us because he goes to the college near by. Because of this, my husband’s family visits us pretty often. Sometimes they just come to hang out, and other times they drop off my even younger brother-in-law for us to babysit him while they run some errands. He’s about 8 years old and really fun to baby sit. He’s like a super genius too, which makes for some really interesting conversations with him.
When he came over this past time, he brought all of his playmobil stuff with him. It’s kind of like legos, but not. Obviously I’m not up on my popular toys for boys. I was really glad he brought it because we had no idea what to get him for Christmas this year. I think we are going to get him a playmobil hospital or something. He doesn’t have that yet, so hopefully he doesn’t get it before then. My husband loved building stuff with him when he come over, so maybe I’ll get him some of that stuff for Christmas too
I love Christmas shopping, and I can’t wait for black Friday. I always go all out for it with my mom. Then someone told me about this, and its got me intrigued. I need to look into it more to see what its about, but I think I’m going to do it. Why not, right?! I still don’t know what I want to get most people, so I need to decide that before I even do any kind of shopping. Anyway, I want to share this video with you before I get off of here. It’s from this week’s SNL and it is for sure going to make you laugh. Enjoy!

Josh is a really close friend of mine who I’ve been friends with for about six years. However, we haven’t always been friends. We started out being enemies and not getting along at all. We were total and complete opposites and never agreed on anything. After I started dating and consequently married his best friend, and he married one of my best friends, we decided that we need to try to be friends and try to understand one another better. Since then, we’ve been great friends. Yet we are still different in a lot of ways.
Josh has a lot of crazy, great, and unique qualities that I understand now. He is such a great husband to his wife and a wonderful father to his newborn son. He loves to smoke gurkha black dragon cigars occasionally, which I hate by the way. He is probably the most disciplined and healthy person I know regardless. He actually used to be a personal trainer, but he is a firefighter now. He has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, which means he is a genius. He’s really into super heroes and mixed martial arts fighting. He’s so into mma that he has more mma supplies than anyone I’ve every met. What’s funny is that I hate mma normally, but when he talks about it he gets so excited that I actually find it somewhat interesting.
While Josh and I are different in many ways, we also have some things in common. We are both in love with coffee/coffee shops and extreme sports. We have almost identical senses of humor. The Office and Community are both of our favorite shows and we talk about them constantly. The Halloween episode of Community is our favorite so far, and you can see it here. Anyway, I love having Josh and his wife as close friends. I can’t wait to be friends with them for a long time. They are great people who are always seeking to show us love, support, and generosity whenever they have the opportunity. Well, I’ve got to go get some info on this for my mother and get some work done. Have a great weekend! Peace.

I cannot believe how close it is until New Moon comes out in theaters! I can’t believe that I’m going to the premiere in Arizona on the 18th with my mom and sister! My life is pure craziness preparing for it. I’ve been going to the tanning bed about 3 times a week for two months, but now its more like every day. I’m getting burned, but not too badly. The tan is worth the minimal amount of pain. I love having a tan, I just feel so much more confident with one. I also got my hair done yesterday and I love it! It looks so much better than it did before. I actually used to be blond, but now I’m mostly a brunette. I did the whole light blond mixed with dark brown thing. I really like it a lot, and so does my husband
One thing that has been hard with preparing for this trip is dealing with my mom and my sister’s stress about the trip. They are both already prone to being dramatic, so when they are put in a stressful situation, it magnifies the drama. Let me just say here that I love my mother and sister tremendously. It can just be hard to be around them when they start getting upset about things. In this situation I’ve been put in the middle of their drama, and its been exhausting and really hard. I just wish that they would let go of their selfishness sometimes. I struggle with being selfish just as much as anyone else, but in certain situations you have to put yourself aside for the great good.
Moving on from that, I’m still excited about the trip. It’s going to be really fun no matter what. My goal is to just keep the mood light-hearted among the three of us. Good humor in bad situations can been a huge blessing. I’m going to encourage my mom and sister to do the same. I really hope that I get to meet some celebrities, or at least see them up close. My sister really likes Taylor Lautner and wants to get his autograph, but I really want Stephenie Meyer’s autograph. I hope she’s there. Anyway, I gotta get to fixing some dinner for my husband. He’s spent the whole day studying, so he deserves a good dinner. Peace

I have a close girl friend of mine who is about to give birth to a baby boy in December. However, even after having two showers thrown for her, she has not received the basic essentials she needs for her new child. I think it has a lot to do with the bad economy and people not having a lot of disposable income to spend on gifts. This is hard for her because her husband has a full-time job, but pay has gotten cut significantly. So they haven’t been able to buy the stuff that they really need for the baby. My friends and I have decided to pull our funds together and buy her the rest on the stuff she needs off of her Target registry.
My friend who is pregnant has two girls already, so they have a crib, stroller, etc. However they don’t have diapers, boy clothes, etc. So that is the type of stuff we are getting for her. We are also going to get some toys that a boy would like, like super why toys and ben 10 toys. We are also buying some of this stuff to decorate the room with a little bit. She has no idea we are doing this for her, so I am really excited to surprise her with all of this stuff. It’s going to be this weekend
I’m at Starbucks right now trying to get some work done, but I’m so excited about this surprise thing I can barely focus lol. I love being at Starbucks because it provides the perfect place for me to work. Although right now I’m watching Jim Carey’s appearance on the Tonight Show
It’s really good, you can see it here. I also keep seeing people I know walk in, so I’m getting pretty easily distracted. I should probably get back to work now though. It’s a beautiful day outside today, so I want to be able to go outside and enjoy it. Peace.

I went with my husband to his night class tonight. I went for a couple reasons. One is that I have a big trip coming up, so I want to spend as much time with him as I possibly can before I leave. Another reason is that I wanted to get some work done, so I thought I would be more able to accomplish that if I wasn’t distracted with stuff at my house. It’s been nice to be back at school, but let me tell you that I never thought that I would say that lol. When I graduated from college, I never thought I would be that happy again ever in my life
I went to college for five and a half years and I was so ready to get out at the end!
I guess I just like the atmosphere. It’s quiet, but I guess that’s mostly because its a night class. This class is for my husband’s master’s degree, and most people in his program are working professionals. So all of them have their Mcklein briefcases instead of backpacks. Also, everyone is drinking some of this to try to keep them awake after a long day of work. It’s gotta be really hard to go to class right after you get out of work. I don’t envy them, that’s for sure. My husband is really stretched thin with this master’s program, I can’t wait until he’s done with it.
I’m taking a break from my work by watching the Halloween episode of the Tonight Show, and it is hilarious so far. They did a really great segment where one of their interns went to Halloween Haunt Night at Universal Studios in LA. The intern they chose to do it is really funny. I’m also looking at the cyber monday deals on All Aboard Toys because I’m trying to get some Christmas shopping done for my husband’s little brother who is only 7 years old and also my new niece. Oh brother, I don’t want to do Christmas shopping until Black Friday. But there are some good deals going on now that I can get in on. That’s all for now. Gotta get back to work. Peace.

Oh my gosh, Halloween is so close I can hardly even stand it. I’m so excited for it too. It’s going to be such a great Halloween this year. I’ve got my and my husband’s costumes all ready to go. Actually, I do have to go out and by some gothic shoes to complete my outfit, but that’s it. My husband and I have changed our minds many times on what we wanted to be. But now its game time and we’ve made some last minute changes. We decided to be Rosalie and Emmett from the Twilight series. We both kind of look like them and its my all time favorite series of books. I’m so excited to get into costume tomorrow.
Luckily, I get to get a lot use out of my costume tomorrow. I’m going to a Halloween themed bridal shower from 10-12, which is going to be amazing. One of the requirements is that we wear something from our own wedding or a wedding that we’ve been to, so I’m going to wear my wedding jewelry. Then later that night my husband and I are going to this place called the hedge where there’s going to be a Halloween dance party. Some of our friends that are going to this are dressing up as the doodlebops, which will be hilarious lol. I’m so excited for tomorrow.
I can’t wait until we live somewhere where kids come house to house to trick or treat. I think that that will be way more fun than going to Halloween parties. Also I can’t wait until I have kids of my own that I’ll be able to dress up for Halloween. It will be great to make their costumes and take them around trick-or-treating. Ah, one day! Well, for now I’m just trying to get some work done and doing some chores. It’s helping be stay distracted from getting so excited about tomorrow lol. I’m going to go look up some info on this for my sister-in-law and then watch the Halloween episode of the office. Have a Happy Halloween tomorrow! Peace.
